The flurry of excitement or disappointment at Albion interest in a Spanish striker Manuel Onwu Villafrance (from Osasuna) turns out to be completely unfounded after the Argus Brian Owen actually asks the clubs involved.
Here's the original story from the Daily Mail which said

Brighton are looking to sign Osasuna striker Manuel Onwu Villafrance.
The 26-year-old is set to leave the Spanish club following their relegation from La Liga last season with a fee set of around £600,000.
The Seagulls are among numerous Championship sides showing an interest in him
