Brighton & Hove Albion fans heading to the Pinatar Arena to see Sami Hyypia's side face Partick Thistle tonight are assured a warm welcome from Fran de Paula and his team at the modern, recently opened football centre, on the outskirts of San Pedro del Pinatar.*
The stadium is home to fourth-tier hometown side Pinatar, but has hosted Partick and Albion this week, with Spanish sides Real Betis, Elche and Rayo Vallecano also due to use the centre this summer as they prepare for the new season.*
Albion's players have enjoyed first-class facilities and hospitality at the 3000-capacity venue - which boasts three full-size pitches - including the main stadium, a small pitch, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, ice baths and a hydro pool.*
There is also plenty for supporters to enjoy. An excellent restaurant and bar, with a large outdoor patio area, will be serving a wide range of food, snacks and drinks throughout the day; while those sporty travelling Albion fans may wish to check out the gym or pool.
There is parking at the Arena, and the Corner Music Tavern, an Irish Bar popular with locals and expats is within walking distance further down Avenida del Mojon, heading towards the town's suburb of Mojon.*
San Pedro del Pinatar is a coastal holiday town in the south east of Spain with a population of approximately 25,000 and attracts holidaymakers from home and abroad. The centre of town and beaches - with more bars and restaurants - are a long walk or short drive from the stadium.*
