Zigor Aranalde has left Albion
Albion*have made another key change to their recruitment team by parting company with Zigor Aranalde.
Mervyn Day, head of scouting and recruitment, was made redundant at the end of last season.
Aranalde, the Seagulls' European scout, is also no longer working for the club, The Argus can reveal.
Aranalde joined Albion originally as chief scout in April 2010 when Gus Poyet was manager.
The former Walsall, Carlisle and Sheffield Wednesday left-back played a key role in some of Poyet's early signings, including Craig Noone's move from Plymouth Argyle.
Aranalde returned to his old club Albacete in Spain as assistant head coach in June 2011 for family reasons.
Albion re-appointed him as their Spanish-based European scout in September 2012 in the third tier of a revised structure, alongside domestic scout Darren Wrack, with subsequent arrival Day second in command and head of football David Burke in overall charge.
Day has just been named head of recruitment by Premier League West Brom.
Meanwhile, Albion have been linked with English-born Australian A-League midfielder Luke Brattan.
Reports from Down Under claim Brattan is to hold talks with the Seagulls over a move from Brisbane Roar.
Hull-born Brattan, 24, is under contract with Brisbane until the end of next season.
