[h=3]Former Albion striker on trial at Barnsley[/h]1:05pm Friday 4th July 2014 in Albion By Andy Naylor
Will Hoskins
Will Hoskins, released by Albion at the end of last season, has joined Danny Wilson's Barnsley on trial.
The injury-plagued striker is training with the relegated Yorkshiremen and will be offered a deal if he proves his fitness.
Hoskins, 28, has not played a competitive match for 17 months due to knee problems.
Former Albion captain Wilson, who had Hoskins on loan when he was in charge at Sheffield United, told the Barnsley Chronicle: "Will has got real talent and knows where the goal is. We think we can get him fit and, when he is, he can bag you 20 goals a season.
"He had an injury at Brighton and we're more or less sure he's over it. Our staff are making sure he's okay clinically. If he is okay, we'll have a chat and see if we can come to an agreement. He needs to prove himself after the injury but I think he will."
