Why would it be cancelled? Pre-season friendly to get players fit for season, why would we let a little man affect our preparations?

No. Even after such heartless rejection, will in time get over such a heinous snub and rebuild the shattered tatters of our broken hearts. We can wipe our eyes and blow our noses and carry on with who ever we get as assistant manager.

Sammy won't be there unless Southampton are playing most of their academy side. He will be sat in a dug out at somewhere like Havant and Waterlooville watching the academy kids play.

They are needed to build up match fitness ahead of the season starting.
