Rather an odd looking group. Not fussed about any of these to be honest but opted for The Kinks as enjoy the "storytelling" nature of R Davies' lyrics.

They're not cool anymore and Liam Gallagher is a wanker but Oasis were great live and had 30-40 cracking tunes. The Kinks were decent but lacked a bit of bite, and this is supposed to be a poll about rock 'n' roll.

Compare The Kinks version of 'David Watts' with The Jam's (infinitely better IMHO) cover version. This "proves" their lack of oomph.
