Sussex are hoping that skipper Ed Joyce will be able to return from the hamstring problem that kept him out of the NatWest T20 Blast win over Kent. Michael Yardy remains a longer-term absentee and Matt Prior and Chris Jordan are away with the England side, but seamer Jimmy Anyon returns to the squad after missing the game at Arundel with an ankle problem, which will be assessed on the morning of the game. Kent loanee James Tredwell is included after he played for his parent club against Sussex, and all-rounder Steffan Piolet also boosts the options.

Look a batsman light to me, Wright and Brown one position too high and our tail starts at 7. Although Tredwell is a decent batsman but again at least one position too high.

Our bowling looks equally light. If The Goff and The Pensioner don't break through very quickly it will be down to Tredwell to hold up an end while Piolet and Hatchet whirl in vain at the other end, I see only calamity.
