The problem with Sturridge last night was that he was shooting like he was wearing slippers! One from distance hit the top deck and the rest were merely back passes to the keeper!

It's not one I'd expect a sane person to make. He was awful last night and decent on Saturday.

An above average player in a team of decidedly average players. We are just not a world class team - end of.
I have rated him very highly since I happened to see him in a Chelsea cup match (don't ask - corporate thing!) a few years ago when he had just come up from their dev squad. He impressed then and I thought Chelsea made a terrible mistake letting him go instead of ditching Torres. Very effective for L'pool.
The choking thing was a little embarassing though!
