The end of an era, and a particularly boring one at that. Welcome to the age of lightning quick counter attacks. Let's hope Sami sees it like that.

Yes. It's time to eradicate all Spanish input in the club and furthermore, deny any Spanish influence in the club ever. We must sack Bruno & Calde and change all records to reflect Oscar was never manager, Vicente, S-Dave, Orlandi, S-Rod et al never played for us and above all, we never ever played Tippy-Tappy! At ease.

Spain have simply come to the end of a cycle of a generation of players, they won't change the ethos of the style of their football. However, the connection between the football Spain's national team and its top domestic sides play, and BHAFC, will remain a mystery to everyone outside Sussex.

They've had a really bad tournament, most of the squad at the world cup is under 30, its not as old as people think.

Xavi (34)
Casillas (33)
Alonso (32)
Villa (32)
Reina (31)
Iniesta (30)
Torres (30)

These are the only players over 30 at the world cup.

Who knew that football fans make unfounded, knee-jerk claims.

I'd imagine that the Spanish FA will stop playing it all together now as it didn't work for them once, they'll start with long ball in the next game... :shootself

the problem wasnt tippy-tappy, it was lack of tempo, lack of penetration and ideas. Chile had a organised defence and forced Spain around them. if they had then put some crosses in, they probably have won. cf Italy vs England. Spains insistance on passing right into the 6yd box is the problem, along with a couple of players who just arent at the top of their game anymore.

Yes what a dull few seasons we've had at the Amex... That promotion from League One was awful too. Boring times.

Far from being over it will just under go an evolution with their young, talented, players coming in. Xavi, villa and Casillias will probably bow out and Puyol already gone others will take their place, although how you replace Xavi I have no idea.
Also, is it not a case of them being tired, non stop football since they won their first trophy.
