Would we come away with a point, and a couple of creditable performances? Would we get ruined 10-0 every game?

I fancy we would come away with points against the likes of Iran and Australia, and hold our own against all but the very best. If only because of the organisation, and "style" of play.

No, I don't think we would even qualify because FIFA wouldn't recognize us as a national team.

Killed, I can't think of many national teams that make it to the WC that we or many other championship teams would beat..alright Nigeria were shit tonight but it's a totally different level and incomparable IMO

I don't know much about Australian football, but I can't imagine that many of this lot would improve last year's squad. I don't think a top championship team would be any worse. 2500/1 I reckon. And not disgraced.

Goalkeepers: Mat Ryan (Club Bruges), Mitchell Langerak (Borussia Dortmund), Eugene Galekovic (Adelaide United)

Defenders: Jason Davidson (Heracles Almelo), Ivan Franjic (Brisbane Roar), Ryan McGowan (Shandong Luneng Taishan), Matthew Spiranovic (Western Sydney Wanderers), Alex Wilkinson (Jeonbuk Hyundai), Luke Wilkshire (Dinamo Moscow), Bailey Wright (Preston North End).

Midfielders: Oliver Bozanic (Luzern), Mark Bresciano (Al Gharafa), James Holland (Austria Vienna), Mile Jedinak (Crystal Palace), Massimo Luongo (Swindon Town), Matthew McKay (Brisbane Roar), Mark Milligan (Melbourne Victory), Tommy Oar (Utrecht), Tommy Rogic (Melbourne Victory), James Troisi (Melbourne Victory), Dario Vidosic (Sion).

Forwards: Tim Cahill (New York Red Bulls), Ben Halloran (Fortuna Dusseldorf), Josh Kennedy (Nagoya Grampus 8), Matthew Leckie (FSV Frankfurt 1899), Adam Taggart (Newcastle Jets).

i think we'd nick a game or two, its essentially the same proposition as going up againt a Premiership team in the FA Cup. theres a few poor teams in there, its not all top draw players.

We'd get to the Semi-Finals.

Then the Albionland manager would announce his departure before the 3rd/4th match saying that we'd reached our ceiling.

With Andrew Croft back in action, I think the quarter finals would not be unrealistic - then who knows.

True, but after watching Nigeria V Iran I do wonder what they are doing being allowed to compete in a World Cup when surely, there are better teams excluded? Blatter and his frigging globalisation!
