In Group A the opening games went the way of the favourites, but for some reason Mexico have been pushed out to 10/1 to win the group, with Brazil a bizarre 1/25 odds-on. We have already have backed Mexico to qualify and we will press some of those potential gains by having a little tickle at 10/1. Mexico are only 8/1 to beat Brazil and if they do that then surely the group is theirs for the taking, so why not take the longer price?
In Group B, our 4/1 wager on Chile has hardened to 3/1, but the manner of the Dutch victory means that they still have some work to do to land that wager.
I'll be back on Wednesday morning to look at the midweek games, including England's crucial clash with Uruguay - a game which will see the losers almost certainly booking their flights home.
Good luck and happy punting!
