Red is our "home" shirt colour as is blue for the Italians.
Is there a need to change?
That said, the Spanish were in all white and the Dutch in navy blue tonight - both playing in "away" [clash-avoidance] strip.

Though our home shirt colour should be Red in my opinion, it is White.

As has been said probably because of black and white TV in a lot of countries and more difficult to distinguish.
