I have just hade a phone call from a call centre re the government green initiative re energy used in your house. I declined further contact as I hate calls from out of the blue and think that their is probably a catch. It prompted me into thinking that I probably need a new boiler.
Has anyone out there had a new boiler using this green initiative?
Also when you changed your boiler did your gas bills go down by much?
My boiler is 23 years old and is happily jogging along. If I change it it means the new boiler will go in the attic as there is nowhere in the kitchen suitable on an outside wall. How much did you pay for a new installation?
A relative has had two new condensing boilers in 9 years. The new boilers do not last so long.

Not the real one
How do you get the grant? Do you need to earn below a certain amount of money or something? I earn ok but have very little disposable income to be able to afford a new boiler. So a grant would go a long way. How do you get them?
