Was that actually it ?

Pretty boring and why depict a rain forest with no-one cutting down trees, hardly realistic

Oh dear indeed!

An amazing musical heritage and they invite two bloody septics!

Typical US cultural imperalism and that's why I will always applaud the French approach towards US film and music.

The USA can't get its own sport event musical heritage right.

Few North American cities have as rich a musical tradition as Detroit, which has produced Motown, the MC5, Was (Not Was), Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop, the White Stripes, Bob Seger, Ted Nugent and many, many others. So when the Super Bowl was staged there in 2006, who performed at the half-time show? The Rolling Stones.

Back of North Stand
Needed a direct feed to the sound desk.
Not a couple of ambient pitch side mics.

Worth pointing out this is a World Cup Ceremony and not an Olympic one.

It's also very difficult to top Diana Ross taking a penalty.

And which of the names that you have listed would have generated the TV audience that the huge cost of an advert demanded? You may have noticed that neither team playing either side of the break were from Detroit either. :)
