How much would you be paying, just out of interest?

I don't want to pay anything. As I understand it, the owner lets the sitters stay in the house for free, the sitters look after the house, the garden, the pets, animals etc while the owners are away. That way the house is secure and looked after so the sellers don't come home and find the place stripped and squatters have moved in.

I'm just investigating, and I'm trying to find out if anyone on NSC has any experience of house sitting, either as an owner or a sitter. But it doesn't look like it.

I've house sat for people before, never thought much of it, I stay in their house cook my own food, feed there pets if they have any, water the plants, sleep there and live my life as normal just in a different house, respect the house and it's just a quick clean at the end of the week. Done it for 2 weeks and was paid £10 per night and then again for just a weekend where I didn't take a fee but they provided food for me.
