I had reindeer tongue and bearmeat balls at a Suomi restaurant in Helsinki a week before Christmas about five years ago. It was fabulous! Washed down with a rather nice but expensive (40 Euro) Chilean red, that would cost about £8 here!

I get a strange feeling of well being at the thought of reindeer tongue and bear balls. Forget the wine, I think I may well seek help.

It was bear meat balls. Slightly different. Bear balls are probably the same size as coconuts. Shudder to think!

I did remark to the woman working in the Arundel butchers about the cost of venison. I sad isn't deer dear dear.
