Brighton & Hove Albion had a difficult start to the season after losing their opening three games in all competitions.
The Seagulls started their Championship campaign with defeat against Leeds United at Elland Road. Leo Ulloa got Albion off to the perfect start after scoring in the opening 15 minutes, but the Yorkshiremen hit back thanks to Ross McCormack and a controversial late winner from Luke Murphy, who appeared to control the ball with his hand before slotting home.

Crofts, along with Ulloa, was on target again in a 2-0 victory over ten-man Burnley, before the Argentine netted in the form of an 89th minute equaliser to end August with a 1-1 draw against Millwall at the Amex.
