Not signing a manager and new players to save on wages is a faulse economy that can be compared to not maintaning an old house to keep savings in your bank account,in the end your house will fall down

But rushing into house repairs without seeing options available is just as bad. Wasting more money and if the issue Is not sorted it will need rework.

Mate, do you honestly think we haven't named a manager because we are trying to save on wages? The season finished about three weeks ago, and it sounds like we are going to name one very soon. Do you know how long the recruitment process takes for this kind of thing? You would be the first one to moan if we rushed into an appointment straight away and it didn't work out. We are in the first week in June, all the players are on holiday!

All player contracts are dated to 30 June so any that have left will be paid up to that date - no actual money saving occurs on players until 1 July.

I'm sure the club are well aware that the longer they leave an appointment, it will potentially make the following season harder.
I fail to believe that we are cutting costs by drawing out the recruitment process.

Or to turn it on its head, all new players contracts start on 1 July, if we signed 10 players tomorrow we wouldn't start paying them until that date.
