Solly March says his call-up to the England under-20 squad for the Toulon Tournament topped off a fine breakthrough season.
The midfielder made four appearances for Gareth Southgate’s side in the annual international youth tournament alongside Brighton & Hove Albion teammate, Jake Forster-Caskey.He told seagulls.co.uk, “Obviously it was good experience for me. Going out there has given me a real confidence boost ahead of next season.
“Jake is quite experienced at youth level for England, so he knew what it was about more than me. It was good to have him there and I was his roommate as well.
“It was great to learn so many different styles of play after coming up against teams from Europe and South American teams.
“It’s a lot different to playing Championship football and the pace of the game is sometimes slower, but it was a good challenge for me.
