It is, although I feel for the families of people lost to chemicals, many have not died due directly to the chemical more a reaction just as a bee sting or due to not respecting them

Interesting reading his comments in the Guardian though towards people's greed in dealing. Putting crap in..... You could tell he felt strongly about that side of it. Came across as thinking there was no need to do that.

His work was always more science than commercial, although the early part of the production of these type of chemicals were funded

Well you could tax it, much as you should by legalizing most other substances. I think with the US analogue law it would make it difficult to now win the war and forever more there will be no control of purity and as you say this is often the cause of the trouble along with not respecting much as you have to do with alcohol.
