I can't quite decide, the first game against Italy, we simply cannot lose. Then it's a toss up as to whether we can beat Uruguay. Awesome in attack, poor in defence whilst we are mediocre in both- hopefully Rooney can finally show his worth in a WC.

Italy aren't the team people think they are. They don't fill me with fear at all. I predict England and Uruguay will progress, unless the Suarez injury is worse than claimed.

Really? I think Italy have a significantly better squad then we have, particularly in midfield and attack. I'm hoping that we fluke a draw.

Wasn't there a stat at the last WC, or could have been the Euros, that Germany's main striker was on the ball for about ninety seconds in the whole tournament

Couple players have played upfront for them.

Schurrle and Reus have in friendlies. Muller and pudolski have also played upfront for them before (albeit neither do for their clubs).
