Seems a bit odd to be convicted of an act carried out in the privacy of his own room, that he had no reasonable expectation of anyone else witnessing. With a consenting bike.
Yeah it's bloody weird, but criminal? Scottish law is a strange thing (almost as weird as that man).

Well yes, he obviously knew they had him on legal grounds. I just find the legal side of it quite interesting in that case, as presumably what he was doing wasn't harming anybody else.
A breach of the peace is a criminal offence in Scotland, it's something else entirely in England & Wales.
Well, he's certainly been saddled with a criminal record
(I note the story is seven years old, I'd love to know what the OP was looking for when he stumbled across that)
