Admission only £1.75p for cricket and a Beer Festival!! Sunday Lunch a bargain at £20

Sussex County Cricket Club are celebrating their 175th anniversary in 2014 :)

The ‘Mayo Wynne Baxter Festival of Cricket at Hove’ will take place between Sunday 1st June and Friday 6th June. The Festival will see Sussex host Nottinghamshire in the LV=County Championship over four days before concluding with the NatWest T20 Blast match against Gloucestershire on the Friday.

Sunday 1st June has been confirmed as the landmark day for the 175th anniversary celebrations, and it will also signal the start of our annual Real Ale Festival which takes place throughout the week with 25 different ales, including a number from Sussex-based brewers.

Entrance to the ground for the opening day of the match against Nottinghamshire will cost only £1.75 for all paying spectators. There will also be a commemorative programme available, a vintage car display, a stoolball demonstration during the luncheon interval, and a cutting of the birthday cake ceremony on the outfield.

Lovely day in the sun. Sussex will rue a couple of dropped catches but Notts are a class outfit with something like 10 internationals in their line-up.

Surprisingly small number of people willing to part with £1.75 for a whole day's top level professional sport.

I'm pretty sure they knew what to expect...

There doesn't appear to be a match thread. Is Joyce injured as well?
