Null and void?? Please do justify why you think Curbishley would be bad?....... maybe you don't like him personally, his record is miles better than Mowbray? he was a huge success at Charlton on limited resources, punching well above their weight in the PL, when they went down he took them straight back up, he got them promoted to the PL twice and they were hard to beat, when he left, they finished 13th in PL finishing about Man City. He had west ham in the top ten when he quit for reasons not connected with his managerial skills (since when have West Ham since been in the top ten?)....... he fell out with the icelandic egghead chairman who sold players from under him without consultation in breach of his contract to have final say on transfers in/out.

If you think Mowbray's record of one promotion with West Brom (only to go straight back down), being sacked by them, then Celtic after 9 months, then Boro after failing is better than Curbishley's, your football knowledge is null and void

Not good enough for us. Lots of names being flung around as to be expected.
British managers , either Clement, Howe or Clarke for me realistically.
If not, Mel is a good manager and with a full season could do a good job for us considering styles and formation etc.

He plays an attractive brand of football, so he would qualify from that point of view but he had a horrendous time of it with Celtic and some people don't want Lennon even though he was a huge success there so surely if Mowbray is in the running then so too will Lennon (unless he's set his sights on bigger clubs than us).

Your footballing knowledge is null and void also! I loved Curbs as a player, probably the best midfielder outside of the old 1st division when he played for us in my opinion. But he hasn't managed a club, successfully or otherwise, for many years now. Moreover, as far as l am aware, he doesn't even want to. If he ever does venture back into football management, l feel he will be far more selective than to come in our direction.
