Stephen Ward has been included in the Republic of Ireland’s 32-man squad for their forthcoming friendly fixtures.The full-back, who spent last season on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion, will join up with Martin O’Neill’s squad for a series of four friendlies, in preparation for the start of their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign in September.
Ireland begin by hosting Turkey at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Sunday, before facing four-time World Cup winners Italy at Craven Cottage on 31st May.
The squad will then fly off to the United States for a match against England’s group stage opponents, Costa Rica in Philadelphia on 6th June, ahead of an encounter with Portugal in New Jersey four days later.
