George Burley was the manager at Palace when Bridcutt went there on trial, playing 3 pre-season games in 2010. Despite the fans liking what they saw, Burley and Bridcutt couldn't agree terms and Bridcutt went back to train at Chelsea, and then on to Torquay for a week. He then received a phone call from Mr Poyet.
