With less than a month to go before hosts Brazil kick off the 2014 tournament against Croatia, Brighton & Hove Albion fans are being encouraged to put their World Cup knowledge to the test at a special quiz night in aid of Albion in the Community (AITC).

The AITC World Cup Quiz takes place on Tuesday 3rd June at Dick's Bar and will raise money for next month's first ever AITC Brighton to Paris bike ride. Over 50 riders have signed up to take part in the 130 mile cycle which will depart from the Amex on Friday 20th June, ending two days later in the French capital, 11 days into the tournament in Brazil. The money raised by the bike ride will help support AITC's disability projects across Sussex.

Teams of up to six people can be entered for the quiz with entry priced at £5 per person. A number of French themed and cycling based prizes as well as the obligatory losers' wooden spoon will awarded on the night with specialist rounds on the World Cup and the Albion sure to test even the most knowledgeable of fans.

There will also be a raffle on the night to raise money for Jadey's Dream, a fundraising appeal led by Jadey Richardson. Jadey, who plays for AITC's powerchair football team and has cerebral palsy, launched his appeal at Albion's home game against Blackpool last month. The appeal aims to raise money to increase opportunities for disabled people to take part in sport.

Dick's Bar will be serving the usual variety of refreshments on the night. The quiz starts at 7.30pm. Doors open at 6.30pm.

You can either register as a team or as an individual to help form a team by e-mailing Millie.Lanz@albioninthecommunity.org.uk

I'll try not to make the questions too obscure...
