Anyone remember him? I always thought he was a young promising player for us and was gutted to see him go, now at Dover with Nathan Elder.

Are you sure he is at Dover? The last I heard he left Eastbourne Borough at the end of the 2012-13 season, and I haven't seen anything about him signing for any club since.

Yes, James Smith was a scholar who earned a one-year professional contract for 2010-11, but was released thereafter.

We released him at the end of December 2011. In March 2012 he signed a short-term development contract with Leyton Orient, but was released at the end of the season. He then had a brief spell with Dover before joining Eastbourne Borough in November 2012.

Seems he has been playing with Harlow Town this season, 6 goals in 44 appearances - Harlow Town FC - Jamie Smith profile

His brother George also plays for the club.
