Brighton in Literature

From Graham Greene's Brighton Rock to Nigel Richardson's Breakfast in Brighton, Brighton has long been an inspiration for writers. Some have used Brighton as a subject for their work, others as a home from which to write from.

If you were to recommend me a book that, in your opinion, best captures the spirit of the city, what book would it be? Is there a writer that managed to do for Brighton what Larsson did for Stockholm, or Krajewski to Breslau? I'd really appreciate your recommendations.

Also, as I only started following Albion when Tomek Kuszczak was signed, I obviously lack the knowledge of club's history, so I'd be very grateful if you could recommend me a good book on this subject.

Thanks in advance! :albion2:
