Not sure about him, would be interesting. Certainly not holding Fulham against him, he was on a hiding to nothng there. Undoubtedly a good coach, yet to be given long enough as no. 1. I'd take him over Sherwood

What about based on his 6 years as assistant to the greatest manager that's ever lived? If we are just basing it on their last job, I guess Moyes is out too.
He was coach, Phelan was the Assistant Manager, so on that basis may as well have him !! Maybe he didn't have enough time at Fulham, and it wa sa tough gig, but didn't show enough for me that he had what it takes, brought a few in in January, and even with Wilkins and Curbishley there, the slide seemed inexorable. I'd hope for someone with a bit more successful management experience, or a hungry young manager. Plenty of both available out there
