Happy but very distant times. Sadly Charlie Livesey has passed away, but believe the rest of my heroes are still with us.

"I'd walk a million miles for one of your goals Charlie"! Yes, happy memories of many hours spent at the Goldstone in my formative years of the 1960's/70's.

Checked on some of those Albion heroes of the 60s and 70s:
Alex Dawson is now 74, Kit Napier is now 70, Brian (Tiger) Tawse is 68, Ken Beamish is 66 and Freddie Goodwin is 80!
Sadly Charlie Livesey died in 2005, Nobby Lawton died in 2006 and our keeper Geoff Sidebottom died in 2008.
Yet when we watched them play they were all young guys... and so were we!

Great memories of wonderful times . I still have the vid of the end of The Goldstone and it still brings a tear to my eye.
Nostalgia favours the best bits.... there was a lot of rubbish in between......but hey, We are Brighton..Right?
