All home ties, followed by beating Championship Wigan on pens and then a mediocre Hull team missing their 2 strikers in extra time. That kind of luck to win it, is another reason why the PL, CL and International football deservedly take all the attention these days. They truly are a level or two above the FAC in terms of quality, the seriousness in which all participants take them and the qualities needed to win them.

Celebrations today in North London, show how the silverware desert of the last 9 years has lowered Arsenal fans sights, to getting rather excited about the slightest morsel of 'success'. This is the cup that the likes of Wigan and Portsmouth have won in the modern era, and now Arsenal can sit comfortably in that company.

It depends how you look at it. The fact that it was the only trophy open to Arsenal and yet they needed penalties to beat Wigan and went 2-0 down to Hull is perhaps evidence of the fact the FA Cup is still competitive.

My apologies, you are correct. It says "2002 Arsenal, 2003 Arsenal" above the "2014". Not sure the commentators realised either so good spot.

So the camera were switched away from the dying minutes of the action to show a bloke engraving "2014"?!

I see Jack Wilshire swore during the Victory Parade, plenty of kids listening etc, causing Sky to have to apologise. Classy.

Yes BBC got excited when they though the Engraver came too early - a lot of people got fooled by it

They were trying to get that Wimbledon moment when they put the winner up on the board.

No one is going to risk putting the wrong name on a trophy at the last minute - that thing normally happens when you have had ages to do something and then you find out someone has given you the wrong information.

I remember when were going to be champions at Withdean and it was 99% certain to happen next match which was at a mid week game so during the day of the match someone added Champions to a sponsors board to be the first and Gus saw it and went mad so it had to be removed right before the match started.
