Or is it just TV money and attendance income?

If there is - where you finish and what do you get for 6th place and is the TV money just evenly split or based on how often you are on?

According to the Football League regulations there is actually a 'fine' for gaining promotion to the premier League!

10.1.1 (d) "The two Clubs finishing in the highest positions in The Championship and the winner of The Championship Play-Off Competition shall no later than the 31 May in that Season pay to The League the sum of £165,334 by way of contribution towards the cost of The League making Parachute Payments available to the Clubs relegated from The Championship and League 1 in any one Season in accordance with Article 75."

If the rewards for finishing just outside of promotion are so low, you can see why ignoring FFP and going for it is attractive.

It does seem bizarre that relative success and relative failure can see two different teams claw back extraordinarily different sums of money. Another example of unfairness.
