Trivia fact, Lemmy first taught him to play base whilst sharing a squat.
I read the Adam Ant autobiography and he had Sid down as a bit of a prick. He once threw a glass at a gig (not one if his own and a girl lost her eye). I think history is very favourable on him as he came across as a pretty useless piece of shit. Lucky he died when he did.

I saw the SP at the Camden Music Machine, I can't remember the year 1977 maybe, I was a young teenager and was taken by my Uncle...... it was a scary experience and SV was a menacing character from what I recall....... gobbing at the audience and kicking out at anyone who tried to get on stage.......... Punk receded as one if my music choices after that......

That was at the 100 club in 76, he threw it at Dave Vanian The lead singer of the Damned but it hit one of the pillars and hit the poor girl, whilst irresponcible it wasn't thrown at her.
