Andrews’s and Albion’s focus is now on Derby, with the first leg of a play-off semi-final at the Amex tonight, says the Seagulls must not underestimate the task ahead, but believes the side can go into the two-legged tie full of confidence.
“Everyone is over the moon and delighted with what we’ve done so far, but we’ve still got quite a lot more that we can achieve. The tie is going to be decided over 180 minutes and that’s something none of us are really used to be honest, so we’ve just got to play our game.
“We obviously have to pay attentions to their strengths, but we need get back to what we do best and get our forward thinking players on the ball in good areas of the pitch.
“We’ve just got to enjoy these two games and embrace them, because these opportunities don’t come around too often in your career.”
The midfielder also believes that it is only a matter of time before Albion are a Premier League club, even if they are unsuccessful in the play-offs this time round.
“The term ‘Premier League ready’ gets thrown around a bit too often in football, but this club genuinely is. The attendances alone exceed some Premier League stadiums and there’s a brand new training ground opening in the summer.
“There’s also a huge catchment area and some real momentum behind the scenes with some genuine people involved. If we can do it this year then fantastic, but I have no doubt it will come sooner rather than later for the club.”
