How far we have come - these stats are quite surprising

There has been quite a debate raging on the Derby thread on who can beat who in the play offs, who has the strongest side and who has the best form etc.
Our progress over the past three seasons is quite stunning in terms of how we perform against the top six clubs.
2011/2012 2 wins and 6 defeats in 12 games against the top six clubs - a win ratio of 17%
2012/2013 4 wins and 4 defeats in 10 games against the other top five clubs (cos we were in the top six!) - a win ratio of 40%
2013/2014 5 wins and 3 defeats in 10 games against the other top five clubs (cos we were in the top six!) - a win ratio of 50%
So whatever the outcome of the play-offs, we really are getting better at beating the best teams in the Championship.

Or maybe the best teams are getting worse :)

Considering we haven't gone up the table, surely this suggests we have got WORSE at beating the teams below us.

Our general win ratio against all teams was fairly constant:
11/12 37%
12/13 41%
13/14 41%
I guess if we don't go up we need to learn how to demolish the bottom six teams more consistently

That is based on final top six clubs presumably. We may have played teams who were in the top 6 at the time but finished outside, and may have played teams outside the top 6 at the time but finished inside.

Interesting stats none-the-less.
