Any northstandchatter got any suggestions for a bar in New York - stupidly booked my holiday and flying out on thursday so will be in the air for the first leg... but would like to watch the second leg - will any bars cover english soccer ball?? I am confident the word play offs might encourage them??? Thanks for any advice or ideas.

There's a bar near Empire State Building suggested on another thread that I was going to use last year if we'd got to the final. Can't remember its name, run by a Brighton supporter by all accounts. Search facility should do the job.

I'd be in the same boat if we made the final so I hope you're successful. I've never been to NYC before but I was feeling relatively confident I'd find something somewhere if I had to...

You 100% will find somewhere Midday on a Sunday shouldnt be a problem at all. I Watched the Hull game when I was out their last Feb, I just asked a local place if they would put it on for me. I would find out what channel it is on before going out, so if you need to ask you can let them know.

This is it, it's brilliant.

:clap2:

Agree Foley's is brilliant; five or six Albion shirts hanging from the ceiling, plus a signed shirt in a display case at the end of the bar, one of the oldest loos in NYC, a really seriously grumpy barman and a ton of baseball memorabilia on the floor, walls and ceiling - the only downside....NO CRISPS!!! So if you need crisps there's another sports bar on the same block and side as Foley's nearer the Macy's end of East 33rd which also shows English soccer ball.

Plenty of NYC bars will be showing it. Foleys would be first choice as its Albion friendly (Shaun the barman is a big Albion fan). Depending on where you are staying the other places to check out are – Nevada Smiths, they are definitely showing it http://www.nevadasmiths.net/football/fix.htm and as it’s the only game at that time it will be on their jumbo screen; Red Lion on Bleecker Street and Legends on 33[SUP]rd[/SUP] Street. It’s on BEIN Sportsplay http://www.beinsportsplay.tv/schedule if you need to give a channel

If you get chance do Empire State and Rockefeller centre, did one at night and one in the day. Fantastic contrast in views.
