Never one to normally compare us to the muppets up the road, but I wonder if this could be an indicator to our fortunes in the play-offs:

Final League Table P W D L Pts

Us (This Season) 46 19 15 12 72

Them (Last) 46 19 15 12 72

. . . . and we all know what happened to them!

Good stat that...the only real difference is palace ended the season in 5th place rather than 6th.

Similar ending to the last game though, squeaking in to the play offs with a very late goal.

Not really when you look at last years table , palace were 4 points better off than 6 the place Lfc and e ven if they had lost would have still been 5th, it's a it of a Brighton urban myth that palace squeaked into last years play off tbh.

Yes they would have finished 5th if they'd lost, but NOT if Bolton and Forest had both won.
