Charlotte Young’s penalty gave Albion the lead, but second-half strikes from Kirstie Spice and Clare Trafford meant the Rookettes took all three points.

The visitors started the match brightly, as Katie McIntyre’s cross went just past the far post, before Rebecca Thompson-Agbro had to make a crucial interception to deny Charlotte Bennett from inside the box.Kelly McCullock then played a pass over the Albion defence into the path of Trafford, but Charlotte Sole was out early to collect the ball.
Albion gradually grew into the game with Lucy Somes sending an effort over the bar from outside the box, before McCullock cleared away Tammy Waine's dangerous ball across the penalty area.
John Donoghue’s side were then presented with an opportunity to break the deadlock, as Lewes keeper Michelle Beazley brought down Rosie Kmita inside the box. Young stepped up and duly dispatched the resulting spot-kick.
Lewes came forward in search of an equaliser, as Spice dispossessed Cally Beaumont on the edge of the area before firing an effort wide of the target.
Hayley West then had to clear Trafford’s shot off the line before Natasha Wells fired a curling effort just past the near post.
Lewes equalised three minutes after the interval, when Spice slotted home past Sole from deep inside the box.
Yasmin Poole then had a chance to quickly re-take the lead for Albion, but shot over the upright from Waine’s delivery into the area.
McCullock also had an opportunity to score a second for Lewes after getting the better of Charlie Carter, only to see her shot hit the side-netting.
Waine nearly scored a second goal for Albion, but saw her two efforts blocked inside the box before Lewes netted a decisive second.
Trafford was played through one-on-one with Sole and sent her angled drive past the keeper.
The Rookettes nearly scored a third goal moments later, but Sole was alert to the danger and cleared Spice’s effort off the line.
