Any recommendations?

I think the pump or control unit is buggered. Heating is on when above thermostat temperature, low volume rumbling sound in airing cupboard, radiators hot when heating should be off?

Apply within.

I am a plumber but I don't cover the Hove area.
It's the motorised valve / 3 port valve that needs replacing .
Turn off your boiler and use the immersion for hot water until problem is solved, or just run boiler for a while to heat water.

Have used Jacksons from Brighton for a couple of years for servicing and sorting out some problems on our new system. No complaints.
