A little under a year ago we all experienced the worst Albion day for a fair few years when the play-offs conspired that the decent in-form team lost to the team that had only just scraped into the play-offs. Worst of all, of course, that defeat was at the hands of hated rivals. Even worse, it was at home having already completed the difficult bit of the job in the first leg.

Yet, here we are, all willing to have a stab at the play-offs again. Yes, we know they won't be there waiting for us this time, but even so. It hurt. It hurt so bloody much, but we're willing to risk that pain again because of what we believe that victory will be the sweetest of tastes.

The greatest prize in football awaits......... For that reason you are willing to put everything on the line time and again.

It hurt then, it hurt for quite a while. It doesn't hurt now.

Which team would I rather be a fan of?

Loyalty says Brighton. Head was confident of the right choice before we lost, now they have money coming in. My heart is too full of history to be anything other than Brighton. They have to be forever in the shadow of four other London clubs, we are lords of our own manor. Given all of the above, our potential fan base is bigger. Selhurst Park has no future, our war has been won, their battles are yet to begin. We are both medium sized clubs who will hopefully bounce between Premier League and Championship for a long time.

Now the clincher. South East London, or the sunny Sussex coast fringed by the Downs, and only an hour from what the capital has to offer?

Mmmmm, well?
