Brighton & Hove Albion need a result at the City Ground this weekend in their bid to claim a play-off place but recent history has seen the sides hard to separate.
Last season’s encounter saw an enthralling 2-2 draw played out where Leo Ulloa and Will Buckley had put Albion 2-1 up but Henri Lansbury’s late strike saw the points shared.
Joel Lynch was the hero for Forest a year earlier as another late goal denied Brighton victory as the former Seagulls defender cancelled out Sam Vokes’s goal in a 1-1 draw.

Neither side could break the deadlock in the goalless draw in 2008 while Nottingham came out on top in August 2006 as Grant Holt’s brace saw the hosts fight back from Jake Robinson’s first-half opener.
Albion’s last victory at the City Ground came 10 years ago when Adam Virgo headed the Seagulls to an unlikely victory and Brighton’s first away win at Forest for 25 years.
A string of heavy defeats had preceded Albion’s 1-0 win in 2004, including 4-0, 3-0 and 4-1 losses but in 1979 it was the Seagulls who edged to a 1-0 victory.
The two clubs first collided back in 1949 and it was Brighton celebrating their first visit to the City Ground with a 1-0 win.*
