Oscar on shortlist to be top boss

The Argus: Oscar enjoys the win at Leicester last month Oscar enjoys the win at Leicester last month

Oscar Garcia could go into his team’s last-day decider as an award winner.

- Immediate thought : "wow, you'd wouldn't believe that from the sentiment on NSC recently"

Albion’s head coach is on a four-man shortlist for the divisional manager of the month prize for April.

He is joined by promoted duo Sean Dyche (Burnley) - Reasonable

and Nigel Pearson (Leicester)
- Also completely reasonable

plus Ian Holloway of Millwall. - WTF!!!! That muppet!

The adjudicating panel obviously haven't got a clue. Oscar out.

But if it is a choice between Oscar winning the award, and BHAFC finishing in 6th place, I would gladly buy Oscar a consolation drink.

Why not Millwall were undefeated in April winning 3 and drawing 3. Those 3 wins came away at Wigan, Forest and Boro so some very credible wins and a very likely to be staying up now. You have to give credit where it is due Millwall were 7 points behind Birmingham with 7 games to go, now they are 2 points ahead, a massive swing at this stage of the season. Holloway has done well and baring the unlikely events of both Donny beating Leicester and Birmingham beating Bolton they will be safe.

I would imagine it should go to Ian Holloway. Derby County scored the most points, although Blackburn Rovers were unbeaten with a better record than us. Bolton Wanderers also picked up four wins. But, in fairness, Millwall have almost turned it round from the brink.
