Any virgin engineers on here?

I've managed to mow over my cable and cut it in two. Have temporarily spliced the TV together, phone works, but internet and catch up are dead.

A) can I fix it myself,
B) if I get a Virgin engineer out, will they charge?

The cable is sticking out of the lawn, so not buried very deep and not in any form of protection. Can I claim it was poorly installed ?

Thanks

My Dad did this a couple of years ago, no charge, they should have buried it deeper, if you point that out and explain that you have effectively lost service because of their poor installation you might find they discount this months bill, or up your broadband speed for free.
