The evening will culminate in the prestigious Player of the Season award, but there will also be awards for the Young Player, Women’s Player, Community Contribution, Goal and Fan of the Season.

The Fan of the Season Award has also been renamed in honour of Seagulls supporter James Brynin, who tragically died last October while serving in Afghanistan.

Brynin, who was born in Shoreham-by-Sea, was attached to the 14th Signal Regiment (Electronic Warfare), and deployed to Task Force Helmand in August 2013.

On October 15th his section became the target of enemy fire. Together with a sniper and machine gunner, James returned fire, but while extracting from the area he received a fatal gunshot wound.

James’s father Efrem, mother Sharon, sister Yasmin and girlfriend Olivia will also be guests of the club at the event, with Efrem presenting the winner of the James Brynin Fan of the Season Award.
