Although I've never been a Smiths fan, Johnny Marr knows how to play a guitar:-

One of many cracking intros, before it all gets ruined!!

Technically a song rather than an introduction but 'Speak to me' off The Dark Side of the Moon serves as the perfect intro to the whole record. The heartbeat, the voices, the helicopter, the scream, the laughter....all these just keep building in a crescendo, sets the tone perfectly for the album.

Could have been Inbetween Days, Just Like Heaven or many more, but I've gone for this majestic burst of classic Cure:

Please could someone oblige as it's still beyond me, but has to be shared.

The magnificent 'Oh Well' by the original Fleetwood Mac. They sure knew how to rock in the sixties!
