The hosts started the match brightly as Harries forced a good save from Toni-Anne Wayne in the opening minutes, before the producing another fine stop to deny Kelly Aldridge from close range.Rosie Kmita had the first chance for John Donoghue’s side, heading Kirsty Barton corner just wide of the far post, but it was the Bluebirds that took the lead in the 14th minute.
Aldridge found Harries inside the box and the latter coolly slotted home past Wayne to break the deadlock.
Kelly Isaac almost doubled their advantage just moments later after finding herself in space inside the box, but Wayne was on hand once again.
John Donoghue’s side then came close to netting an equaliser when Barton’s speculative effort hit the crossbar, before the hosts were reduced to ten players.
Rosie Kmita was played through on goal before the last defender Hannah Mills brought down the forward, leaving referee Paul Fisher no choice but to issue Mills her marching orders.
Captain Tammy Waine attempted to score a speculative equaliser, but her long range effort was comfortably saved by Dando.
But Cardiff took just four minutes into the second-half to double their advantage, when Nia Jones volleyed the ball past Wayne from a corner.
Albion created few goal-scoring chances after the break, with Rosie Kmita’s sliding effort over the upright being the most notable opportunity.
In contrast the Bluebirds created several more opportunities to increase their lead, as Wayne had to be alert to deny Lauren Townsend before long-range a free-kick narrowly floated past the far post.
Cardiff rounded off their victory with nine of normal time remaining, thanks to Aldridge’s angled chip past Wayne to give the Bluebirds a convincing victory.
