Well no matter anyone's views on whether it was a good thing or bad thing, nobody can say that any clubs fans have done anymore in the cause of its club. It was the ultimate protest.

The back pages had a field day the next day, most of them without a clue what was really going on. :wanker:

Well its certainly different to about 30 palace teenagers who got laughed out of the city when they had an attempt at a protest. Sums up the difference between the two clubs, they have ultras and teenagers who bang a drum, well, Brighton are a bit more down to earth than that. "Loyal Supporters" was the song at the end. Different times but 28000 at home to Yeovil in the Championship shows how lucky Brighton are with its support. When oh when will we have a team to match the support?

Watched from the north stand. Completely saddened by events but persuaded as to their necessity. That day is one of the reasons we still have a football club to follow.

No doubt about it 28,000 is a superb turn out for Yeovil at home.Any chance of you actually getting off your backside and attending a game rather than just writing about it?

Forced the Evil one to pay up and lease back the Goldstone for that extra season.
You know it still rankles, not only what the archerlotti tried to do, but the total lack of support during our exile.

Cannot believe that was 18 years ago, I was in the North Stand that day.
It had to be done though.

This. I remember those on the pitch arguing with those still in the stands and chucking turf etc. It wasn't the unified front it later became in the early stages.

Some Brighton Fans gave their Brighton shirts to the York fans who actual clapped the Brighton fans as they understood how desperate the Brighton fans had got. It may have been extreme but I think in the end it was right thing to do the guys running the club where destroying the club.its now part of our history.

The official supporters club condemned the invasion at the time but looking back on it they all seem to have supported it??? Just as well the 20 from the southwest had a bit more passion???
