Ok, if I had told you before the 2nd leg of the palace game that:

1 We will lose to palace
2 Gus would be sacked messily
3 We will appoint a man with one season as a manager, in Israel, and had never played or coached in England
4 Our player of the year would get injured, sulk and leave
5 One of our 2 regular scorers will be injured a lot
6 The other will be sold
7 Orlandi will hardly play
8 Lopez will be a shadow of his former self
9 Buckley will be injured a lot
10 CMS will not be fit for the whole season
11 Hoskins will not be fit for the whole season
12 AEA will be sold
13 Wayne Bridge will leave
14 We will only sign 3 players on permanent contracts and they would be a lower league left back and 2 midfielders
15 Leicester, QPR, Reading, Forest will spend millions
16 Development squad players will feature heavily in pretty much every game

What position would you have guessed we would finish this season?

Be honest!!

Good point. And you missed 'KLL carrying a season long injury that makes it very difficult for him to play 90 minutes' .

16th, we've overachieved. And if we'd have beaten Blackpool on Monday we would have been almost certain for 6th

All of that goes to show what a great job the defence has done this season.

I thought we'd finish 6th, but with that list you'd expect 8th or 9th tops.

Honest Answers ......

Ok, if I had told you before the 2nd leg of the palace game that:

1 We will lose to palace ... I'd be suicidal
2 Gus would be sacked messily ... I'd be suicidal
3 We will appoint a man with one season as a manager, in Israel, and had never played or coached in England ... I'd be disappointed
4 Our player of the year would get injured, sulk and leave ... I'd be suicidal
5 One of our 2 regular scorers will be injured a lot ... I'd be suicidal
6 The other will be sold ... I'd be gutted
7 Orlandi will hardly play ... I'd be gutted
8 Lopez will be a shadow of his former self ... I'd be disappointed
9 Buckley will be injured a lot ... I'd not be surprised
10 CMS will not be fit for the whole season ... I'd expected it
11 Hoskins will not be fit for the whole season ... I'd have said "just the whole season?"
12 AEA will be sold ... I would not have shed too many tears
13 Wayne Bridge will leave ... I never expected him to stay
14 We will only sign 3 players on permanent contracts and they would be a lower league left back and 2 midfielders ... I'd have been disappointed
15 Leicester, QPR, Reading, Forest will spend millions ... I would not have been surprised
16 Development squad players will feature heavily in pretty much every game ... I would have been surprised

What position would you have guessed we would finish this season? ... nowhere near the play offs.

Be honest!!

I don't think Poyet's dismissal should be considered as messy?
1) Employee is suspended.
2) Employer investigates.
3) Employee dismissed for gross misconduct.
4) Employee appeals
5) Dismissal confirmed by employer.

Seems pretty clean to me. OK Poyet and large elements of the media tried to turn it into a circus but at the end of the day he was fired for breach of contract and wasn't paid a penny.

I thought we were going to struggle a bit this season for most of the reasons you have mentioned.

Think I was expecting something like 14th

Pleases with how it's gone.

Good post. Plus one of our three signings doesn't play because of his temperament.

16th
