My daughters got a problem with her laptop which started a couple of days ago. When she tries to log in to Google, Facebook or Yahoo mail a page appears stating that
There is a problem with this website's security certificate
The security certificate presented by this website has expired or is not yet valid.
Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to trick you or intercept any data you send to the server.
We recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to this website.

She can access her Facebook page and Yahoo mail using my computer ok, so it's not a problem with her accounts.
Any help would be much appreciated, be gentle I'm not quite the Computer village idiot, but I'm very good friends with him!

Which browser do you use try updating to the latest version
Are the time and date in the bottom right correct?

It runs Internet Explorer on Windows 8.1, the computers only 4 months old so I would think her version of IE is the latest one.

Just done a full scan (Norton Antivirus) and nothing showed up.

Run a malware scan tool such as microsofts own and then follow instructions if it finds anything. http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/malicious-software-removal-tool-details.aspx

Do you have Malwarebytes or anything similar installed? Might be worth a scan with that. Or changing to a better browser might also help.

Have you tried turning it off then on again (standard NSC response)

Check the date on the clock bottom right hand corner

Just checked and the time and date are incorrect, changed them and all is well, many thanks.
